What factors influence the salary of AWS Cloud Engineers?
The salary of cloud engineers can vary greatly and depends on various factors, including experience, qualifications, location, company size and industry.
However, general estimates can be made for the annual salary of cloud engineers in Germany, which we would of course like to share with you:
Salary of AWS Cloud Engineers
Entry level (0-2 years of experience):
Cloud engineers with little to no professional experience can expect an annual salary of around EUR 45.000 to EUR 60.000.
Intermediate level (2-5 years of experience):
As experience increases, so does the salary. At this stage, the annual salary for mid-level cloud engineers could be around EUR 55.000 to EUR 80.000.
Experienced (5-10 years of experience):
For experienced cloud engineers* with several years of professional experience, the salary can be in the range of EUR 70.000 to EUR 100.000 or higher.
Senior level (over 10 years of experience):
At senior level, cloud engineers can earn an annual salary of EUR 90.000 to EUR 120.000 or more. In management positions or highly specialised roles, salaries can be even higher.
In addition to the basic salary, bonuses, company pension schemes, flexible working hours and other additional benefits can of course have a positive impact on the overall package. Before accepting a position or entering into salary negotiations, it is therefore advisable to research the local labour market and industry-specific standards.
